Euro-Siberian is the biggest region of Holarctis, but its flora is rather poor. It covers the biggest part of Europe – except the southern- and northernmost parts – and also the northern half of Asia, so substantial part of Siberian, surroundings of Lake Baikal and Kamchatka on its eastern edge. In this area we can find high mountains, as the Alps, Carpathian Mountains, Ural etc. The vegetation of southern areas is enriched from Mediterranean, Central and East Asian area.
