Natural Science Society and Botany.cz web want to welcome their readers to this year’s botanical and societal activities taking place in the Czech Republic as per below:
- May 31, 2014 – announcement of the results of illustration contest for children “Painting with Botany” at Mnichovo Hradiště castle. There will be entertainment for kids, botanical contests, and kids’ participation in painting of plants in the castle garden.
- June 10, 2014 – „Herba mythologica, or How to kill a basilisk“ – presentation on mythological plants by the Chief Editor of the web taking place at Museum Odry.
- June 22, 2014 – announcement of the results of the contest “For the Best Botanical Illustration” taking place in the Prague Botanical Garden, in Fata Morgana greenhouse.
- September 2014 – first night opening of the exhibition “Endemic Plants of the Czech Republic” at Prague Botanical Garden.
- October 2014 – first night opening of the exhibition “Contribution of Botanical Gardens to plant protection” taking place at Průhonice Botanical Garden.
