Family: Crassulaceae J. St.-Hil.
Distribution: An endemic species of Portuguese island Madeira.
Ecology: It grows on rocks in the central mountain region of Madeira, from 900 to 1800 metres above sea level. Blooms from June to August.
Description: A perennial herb with a prostrate or erect stem, up to 14 cm high. The leaves are oblong to obovate, glaucous, red at the margins. The flowers 12 mm in diameter, in terminal cymes, white petals sometimes with red vein.
