National reserve is situated in the north-east part of the region Běleč (Western Bohemia). It is protected for 200 years old beech growth with typical vegetation.
The area of the reservation is 9,44 ha and it is made by the south slopes of stone edge of Běleč. The altitude of the area is between 590 and 690 m. The most important part of the area is the edge where jags and shattered parts of rocks are situated.
The flora of the reservation is characteristic for beech growth, we can find there the European beech (Fagus sylvatica), sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus), and the other broad-leaved-trees and the needle-leaved-trees.
There is very interesting herbage of acid forest growth. Foxglove (Digitalis grandiflora), lily (Lilium martagon), viola (Viola reichenbachiana) or Lily of-the-valley (Convallaria majalis) growths in the reservation.
A lot of protected animals live in the area because of well-proved condition of reservation. The birds are the most remarkable. Falcon (Accipiter gentilis), long-eared owl (Asio otus) or the black stork (Cicioma vigra) live there. Pine marten (Martes martes) is one of the interesting mammals there.
