Distribution: It occurs in mountains of central Italy, the Balkans and southwestern Turkey.
Ecology: It grows in rock crevices and screes on limestones and dolomites, usually from 1500 to 2300 m above sea level. Flowers from June to July.
Description: A perennial, glabrous, 6–15 cm high herb. The leaves are 6–10 mm long, alternate or opposite, obovate-oblong, flat, obtuse. The flowers are 5-merous, pedicellate, with a simple racemose inflorescence. The petals are lanceolate, acute, whitish, the stamens 10. The follicles are erect, obtuse, shortly mucronate.
