Chudenická Bažantnice (Pheasantry of Chudenice) is situated about 3 km far from Chudenice (Western Bohemia). It was flunder by the noble family of Czernin in 1719. The primary area was much larger than the recent one. It reached the Lázeň castle. There was the seat of the gamekeeper. Two pools were established in Bezpravovice brook.
Natural monument has been protected since 1933 and it´s area is 17.9 ha. The subject of protection is original forest growth with natural undergrowth especially for the three hundred years old growths of oaks. Beyond the other trees are Pinus strobus, Larix decidua, Fagus sylvatica, Tilia cordata and the others. The plant layer is made by different kind of flowers, the most interesting are Epipactis helleborine, Lilium martagon, Primula elatior or Cyclamen purpurascens.
The area is also protected because of the occurrence of rare species of birds, as pigeon (Columba oenas), woodpecker (Dryocopus martius) and the others, but the research from the 2006 showed the decrease of them.
