Osmý příspěvek do soutěže O nejlepší botanickou ilustraci roku 2012 jsme dostali ze Skotska. Autorka ilustrací nám o sobě napsala:
For many years I have had a love of flowers, even before I had a garden of my own. My enjoyment of gardening led me to read many horitultural books and magazines and through this I developed a love of botanical illustrations. I was also lucky enough to live near Kew Gardens in London and able to enjoy their large collection of botanical illustrations. This competition and a college brief made me finally decide to attempt botanical illustration myself. I developed the college brief into a poster and a small cookery leaflet for the promotion of edible flowers.
