Central-Western Asian covers mostly mountains and semi-desert areas. Western line of this bioregion goes through the northern part of Arabian Peninsula and the east of Ukraine, eastern line we can find in Tibet and western China.
The local flora is considerably influenced by arid conditions and it features by high share of family endemism. We can find a strong influence of Mediterranean and Paleotropis.
